 The
Fundación Espeleobuceo Hispaniola (FEH) is investigating,
exploring, and collecting information about underwater cave systems
using survey, topography, water, fauna sampling, and photography
of the environment.
FEH is establishing well-marked routes in the cave system in
order to promote cave diving as a safe activity and to minimize
the environmental impact on the caves.

 Cave
diving contributes to other scientific disciplines, like archeology,
hydrology, geology, and biology. In the Dominican Republic, FEH,
is pioneering the the first organized exploration and documentation
of its major cave systems.
